So I was surprised to find out, the iPod touch upgrade is 20$. I mean, isn’t that the worse idea ever? I paid for my iPod touch, just like anyone else, why should I have to pay for it to be up to date. The worse part of it, is that anybody buying a new iPod touch as of now, will get the new applications for free, which are basically what the upgrade is for. These new applications are: Maps, Mail, Stocks, Notes and Weather. The good news, is that if you have what they call a jailbroken iPod, you will be able to get these applications for free! Yay! So how are you going to do this? First, you have to put your firmware in 1.1.1. If you are in 1.2.1, you are going to have to downgrade. To find out if you have the right firmware go into “settings” and click on “about” then you’ll see wat firmware you have. Here are the simple steps to do so: 1. Download the 1.1.1 firmware 2.
